Exploring Sunderbans

Explore Sunderbans Delta & Kolkatta
Kolkatta to Kolkatta
DURATION - 03 Nights & 04 Days
Kolkatta 02N I Sunderbans 01N

Exploring Kolkata and Sundarbans is a fascinating blend of vibrant lifestyle, wildlife exploration, cultural immersion, and scenic beauty. Kolkata being the most vibrant city, also known as the ‘City of Joy’ and The Sundarbans, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest mangrove forest. It’s also home to the famous Royal Bengal Tiger, along with a rich variety of flora and fauna.

Kolkatta also referred as the ‘City of Joy’ is located in eastern India and is the capital of West Bengal. The city is known for architectural splendour, rich art galleries, vibrant culture, historical significance and wide range of engaging choices from sightseeing, events, activities, cuisine and culture. The city has key spots like Salt lake stadium, Victoria memorial, Eden Garden cricket Stadium, Howrah Bridge and many popular temples.

Sundarban Delta also called as Sunderban National Park is known for Tides, Mangrove, River delta & the home of the “Royal Bengal Tigers”. The delta situated on the lower end of the Gangetic West Bengal is formed by the confluence of the mighty rivers – the Ganges, the Brahmaputra and the Meghna. The area of Sundarban National Park is 1330 sq km and the three watchtowers mainly Sajnekhali, Sudhanyakhali and Dobanki are most commonly visited by the tourists. Unlike other Tiger Reserves there is no Jeep safari or Elephant Safari in Sundarbans. Here spotting the tiger and other wildlife is while you cruise the interconnected network of waterways on a boat.

Highlights of the Sundarbans Tour

  • Mangrove Safari: Explore the dense mangrove forests by boat, cruising through narrow creeks and waterways.
  • Wildlife Spotting: Chance to see Royal Bengal Tigers, crocodiles, spotted deer, wild boars, and rare bird species.
  • Local Village Experience: Visit local villages to understand the lifestyle and culture of people living in the delta.
  • Birdwatching: Spot diverse species of birds, including kingfishers, herons, and eagles.
  • Bonbibi Temple Visit: Learn about the local deity Bonbibi, worshipped for protection from the tigers.
